All returns must be pre-approved and returned in the original packaging. Returns will not be accepted without original packaging and are subject to refusal by our shipping department.
Goods that have been damaged by the consumer will be marked non-returnable and returned to the consumer. No refund will be issued in such cases. Seat covers, and carpet kits are non-returnable once they have been cut and sewn. Convertible tops may not be returned if they have been damaged or installed.
Non Returnable Items:
-cut roll goods such as carpet, vinyl, canvas
-less than a full hide of leather
-special order items
-items that are not original material and/or color
-discounted or clearance items
-individual seat components such as Headrests, Armrests, Bottoms, Backrests
Restocking Charges: All returnable items: 25%
Same Business Day* – Cancellation requests received on the same business day as the order was placed result in no penalty.
Up to 30 Days* – Cancellation requests received up to 30 days after the order was placed are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.
Items that have entered the shipping process or items that have already shipped may not be cancelled. For such items, please see our “Returns” policy.
* Valid cancellation requests require verbal dialogue with a customer service representative.
It is a violation of law to make orders in a false name or with an invalid credit card, even if our software initially accepts such a bid. Please be aware that even if you do not give us your real name, your web browser transmits a unique internet address to us, which can be used by law enforcement officials to identify you. This puts you at substantial personal legal risk. Fraudulent order makers will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Currently, both the FBI, Interpol and Polish police are responsible for investigating all Internet fraud cases.
All warranty claims are handled directly by the manufacturer of the product in question. We will assist you in contacting the manufacturer and do our best to help you in anyway we can with warranty issues. However, the manufacturer is ultimately responsible for all warranty claims and it is their sole discretion whether to honor or disapprove a warranty claim.

Goods Damaged By Carrier and Shortages
You must inspect goods upon receipt for shipment damage. All damage claims must be filed with the carrier within 48 hours of receipt. If a product is accepted from the carrier and you don’t file a damage claim within 48 hours with the carrier, the carrier will consider the shipment to have arrived in good condition.
Shortages must be reported to German Auto Tops, inc within 48 hours. Please call 818-766-9511 to report any shortage with your order that is not marked as a “backorder” or as being shipped from a different location (i.e. “factory direct”).

In some cases, we may use vendors to help fulfill orders and provide them with shipping information (e.g. drop ship orders).

Fitment of Parts
Every effort is made to maintain accurate fitment data for products offered. The customer is responsible for making sure items ordered will fit their vehicle.
